Ingrown Toenail Surgery

A minor surgical procedure to permanently remove ingrown toenails. It involves local anaesthetic and phenolisation. The toe is anaesthetised and either part of the nail or the whole nail is removed.

A chemical called phenol is applied to prevent regrowth and the toe is dressed. The procedure has a high success rate of 95%, generally painless with a small risk of complications. This care package includes review appointments and aftercare to full healing is achieved.

Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine, sterile needles into the body to treat and aid medical conditions. It is particularly beneficial for neurological and musculoskeletal conditions relating to the lower limb.
